This Privacy Policy explains how SendThis ("SendThis," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the SendThis mobile application and related services (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
a. Information you provide through the app
When you use SendThis to generate message suggestions, the text you enter into the app is sent to our backend service so we can return rewritten suggestions in your selected tone and category. This may include any personal information or sensitive details that you choose to include in your text.
b. Subscription and purchase information
If you purchase or restore a subscription, we use RevenueCat and Apple’s in-app purchase systems to confirm your subscription status, available products, and entitlement information. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple.
c. Information stored locally on your device
SendThis stores certain information locally on your device to make the app work, including:
- saved message cards you choose to keep;
- subscription state cached on-device;
- onboarding and in-app review prompt status; and
- a locally generated device identifier and free-tier usage count used to enforce generation limits.
d. Automatically collected data
Our infrastructure providers, such as Cloudflare, Apple, RevenueCat, and OpenAI, may receive technical information required to deliver the Service, such as IP address, device or request metadata, and transaction-related details. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy terms and operational practices.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- generate message rewrites and related suggestions;
- provide subscription features and restore purchases;
- enforce free-tier usage limits;
- save content on-device when you choose to save it;
- maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse or misuse.
3. How Your Information Is Shared
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, including:
- Cloudflare, which hosts and routes backend requests;
- OpenAI, which processes prompts to generate message suggestions; and
- RevenueCat and Apple, which support subscription management and in-app purchases.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, our business, or others.
4. Data Retention
Data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete the app, remove saved items, or clear the relevant device storage. Information processed by our service providers may be retained according to their own retention schedules, security practices, and legal requirements.
5. Tracking
SendThis does not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking as described by Apple.
6. Your Choices
- You can avoid entering personal or sensitive information into prompts.
- You can delete saved cards within the app.
- You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app.
- You can manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
7. Children’s Privacy
SendThis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, please contact us so we can review the situation.
8. International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, depending on where our service providers operate.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
